I mean the same could be said for athletes or musicians, he just doesn't like computer games because they confuse his pompous old person brain.

IMO this does not affect all types of games, I understand MMO's that they are highly addictive due to game mechanics but puzzle games and simulators are not addictive they are just pure fun.

Not even in the same ballpark, for starters if i spent £40 on coke i'd get a quality product, same can't be said for 90% of games releases our days......

Maybe he is just comparing two nominally additive things, without going in the actual mechanics of that addiction?But wouldn't be addicted to coke mean you are addicted to the substance and not the high? Just curious, for anyone who knows what it's like
And I think games are only addictive to people who easily become addicted to stuff anyway.
I can get addicted to a game to the point of having to give away the game CD, but I've never been addicted to anything else in life.
