EA will suspend your access to paid for titles for making flippant comments

It's probably not legal, but who is going to take them to court about a £30 product?

Exactly, and companies like EA are so big that getting to speak to the right person is beyond a joke. Usually going through legal or official means is too much of an arse ache.

All's i have to say is Arrrr'! :p

what lowbirds might go troll them :D

I got a 3 day ban on their forums for posting the uncensored version of this pic:

:D

I never knew that it completely blocks you from playing any of their games though, thats really really moronic.

To be honest if you look on the forums, they are getting trolled on an epic proportion by all the people that hate what they've done to this game.

Its even more ridiculous how much Bioware are defending a game that quite a large chunk of their fanbase hate more than anything else they have ever played:

Start rtming all their moderators posts as racial insults :p

But if you get permabanned, you lose ALL your Bioware games on that account. Not really worth it, I'd be very careful on their forums - no swearing or doing silly things. Just moan and whine about the game without insulting anyone or using bad language and you will be fine.

I didnt know that when I posted the sweary pic oops.

EA think that everything is a franchise in the same way as there sports games, hell it was probably someone from sports'decision to rush DA2 in the first place but Biowares lack of Balls is the real problem. Forum bans shouldn't mean ful account bans though that is far to extreme and will lead to a backlash. They should really have taken this in stride though instead of blowing up and banning the guy.

Well, the game contains the following lines that some people think are easter eggs:

"Everythings getting simpler" and "Terrible two's indeed"

and they wonder why people go over to piracy. :o

They also lied about DRM in DA2:

http://vividgamer.com/2011/03/10/ea-fails-to-disclose-securom-in-dragon-age-ii/

EA Fails to disclose securom in DA2

Those of you who know me, know that I love Dragon Age: Origins and the Dragon Age universe. You also know that I loathe DRM, especially SecuRom. You can imagine how dismayed I was when I read a Reclaim Your Game report today revealing that despite not disclosing the fact anywhere on the game packing or even in the 28-page EULA, disc-based copies of Dragon Age II contain the destructive, intrusive DRM known as SecuRom.

Theres a whole thread by a Bioware dev on the official forums promising that there would be absolutely no DRM, or any other program installed during installation on DA2 from the disk on a PC. But it IS installing Securom during the installation to carry out the disk check, but removing it after once the game is activated or something like that.

DRM when they said there wouldnt be, being suspended from your games because you say something naughty on the forum, and overall such a shoddy dumbed down POS game, and EA wonder why there is so much piracy on the PC.

That's pretty low, even if they have it in their terms/conditions doesn't make it right or just. If he could have that for such a menial remark, I'd be afraid to post anything on their forums that has the slightest modicum of argument, displeasure or anger towards the game/bugs/etc.

Glad I won't have to ever worry about them banning me in my lifetime though.

Well I'm frankly shocked by this news that a EA account owner had his access to paid for games suspended for 3 days for a fairly innocuous but unflattering comment.

EA are a pack of ******** who really are trying to use their muscle to control everything they touch. Luckily I don't think I play any EA titles. Tend to avoid them.
