Nokia N8 or a Windows 7 phone?

I need a secondary phone I have the desire hd as my primary phone.

I am thinking between the Nokia N8 or a Windows 7 phone like the samsung omnia 7.

I thought I would try something other, ham Android.

So what would you choose?

I'd go for the Win 7 phone over the borring symbian any day.

There is only one reason to get the N8 and that is for the camera, WP7 is considerably nicer to use, the Omnia 7 is a great all round phone

Get a WP7 device and with updates to come during the year/growing app store you make grow fond of it over time. And a definite buy if you're an achievement whore/Zune User

I have got the N8 will try it put having got it I'm leaning more towards a WP7 phone.

I like the omnia 7 because of its super amoled screen and its all sound spec but is there anything better out there that I may have missed.

Orange do not have the HTC HD7 which is a shame.

Yes Synbian is outdated and it run by Nokia - I own Samsung Galaxy S with Android 2.2.1 version that pretty nice and look good also lots of features, great stuff.

Just opened up my N8 body of the phone is nice but other than that first impressions don't look good screen is small and looks dull.

The sound is good not really tried the camera out much but looks pretty cool.

It just seems so basic compared to my desire hd think ill send it back now

Nokia + Symbian = unreliable. Even they are moving to Microsoft.

The camera is a cracker but the phone doesn't live up to it.

Sent the N8 back and got the omnia 7 its being delivered on Tuesday

Yeah it is when I used it I thought I got my N95 back.

Does anyone know if tmobile say monthly phones are unlocked?

If they are direct from T-Mobile, they will most likely be locked.

If they are from a place such as Mobiles.co.uk on T-Mobile, they will probably be unlocked.
