Chris Harris drives F10 M5

I'm concerned Fox may actually implode so before this can I confirm that I can have your stapler?

His stapler? I never had you pegged as a stapler collector but now I know...

It may just be the conditions and/or the equipment but I was slightly underwhelmed by the noise there when accelerating, maybe that'll be sorted for the production models. I'm sure it's a great car though.

I really like the interior shot, even though its probably what all F10s look like, it pips the XF for me.

Lol at them all crying about the dct and the turbocharged v8. F1 cars have semi-autos and they're still saying it doesn't provide enough control.

I can understand the appeal of a n/a v10...but you can still guarantee it'll sound amazing and barely lag whatsoever. Such is the price of progress, and a 400 mile range which is very impressive really, despite the larger fuel tank.

Agree, the E65 and E60 really broke the mold and for me, the F10 amplifies all the things that are wrong with the E90. I was hoping the sport models would solve this but sadly not.
I'm with you on this, but the E60 M5 really did drink too much to be practical and was too firm to be comfortable. F10 will probably be like the E90 M3; less focussed but more usable day to day.

I wouldn't say no though to a test drive, just to make sure ;)

Disagree about this car now, The F10 looks so much fresher than the E60. Still not the successor to the E39 in terms of looks though. The E60 should always have been there (like Microsoft Vista). The E60 is no crap car though but the M5 F10 looks a lot lot better than the E60 M5

Having spent sometime with the F10 when I was considering getting one I have to say it's a substantial improvement over the E60 in virtually all areas and looks subtle but nice in the flesh.

What the interior shot in the link? That to me doesn't look anything special in fact looks a bit dated doesn't it?

I don't think it looks dated, But not on par with the XF for me.

different strokes for different folks and all that.

Dated? It's about as fresh as you can get right now!

It might be a 'new' design but I wouldn't say that makes it fresh. In the video above the front is very reminisce of a 6 series with has been around for donkeys years, the back end looks very e92 and the side profile is a bit 'Meh'.

For me personally the F10 doesn't strike me as a particularly fresh or exciting design. Actually it stinks of BMW trying to be ultra conservative after the e60 up roar.
