Well I've just been to gamestation to check it out and come out with my thoughts.
Really well made as usual, 3D effects were fantastic, I only had time to try the AR games which gave me a good impression of the console and it's capabilities, I was really well impressed, more than I thought, the nice lady even told me if you get a large printed version the monster is even bigger apparently
.
3D effect didn't feel like a gimmik, unlike movies it only took a few seconds for my eyes to adjust and even when checking the bottom screen it felt fine, the problem was after I had finished playing with the device I was somewhat drained and my eyes had to take a few moments to adjust without the 3D.
When I get the device, I can see myself playing with the 3D on sometimes but not for the duration of my gametime, as much as I loved the 3D I don't think I could play for extended periods.
Though for the console itself it will be worth it, seems Nintendo have innovated again and kept me at the forefront of their attention, it's just a shame that the Wii wasn't as 'good' as I hoped it was when it was released.
Oh And I went into another store first and I was told it was nicked the day before while someone was testing it, surprised it wasn't chained to the clerk.
