So, now with the earthquake and tsunami's, lots of people remembered all kind of world ending theories, one of them is the existence of the Illuminati, and their plan to reduce the people living on earth so they can rule it etc etc. What's your opinion on this, and why, if you do believe in such a group existing, when you've watched all the videos on youtube, with proof and faces, don't you do anything about it?
What's your opinion on this?

"Now with the earthquakes and tsunami's".
You make it sounds like there hasn't been any before.

overwhelming the news worldwide? no, not recently at least.
all these people now yelling world ending etc, most of them didn't believe in anything other than their well-being, now everyone is a philosopher in life, researching in world conspiracies etc, like all these theories were not known before.

Only 1999, around 20,000 dead around the world.
Edit, more than 40k it seems.

Don't be so naive to think this is the only time something relatively close in time-frame has happened.

in terms of people talking about something, it is long, and that's what I meant.
People look something in the news, panic, talk about it for a month, then everything is forgotten.

You're right, they always forget and move on, people have been doing this before you were born and will continue to well into your old age, it's such an overdone subject, the only way to be sure is to actually witness and experience these events for yourself.

So wait basically.

I don't believe in the Illuminati because there is no concrete evidence for me to base a belief on, nor do I think you should if you do, or anyone from "youtube videos" and whatever proof and faces means.

lots of videos around. lots of politicians pointed. my question is why people keep voting for them, why don't they do anything about it.
Some talk about air planes spraying over countries, no one did anything about it either.

Although things change, quite a number of people simply seem to not want to think outside the box. Then a new generation comes along and the cycle resumes. Conditioning, whether it be by natural means or man made takes its toll. Cameras on the streets, clothes being chipped, animals also...people not so far off in the future etc. If the initial intention were genuinely for the benefit of the people then that would be different. Sometimes I view it as more of a neutral necessity rather than an evil as the root cause. However, I think most people would agree that greed is widely proven and there simply seems to be enough information worthy of consideration filtering through as the years pass by. It can't always be right or wrong. I sometimes wonder if the laws that appear to my mind to seek to reduce freedoms are initiated because we are living in a time where the population is harder than ever to control. The weather goes through its changes, so it seems does all aspects of nature, like us. I think George Orwell was on to something. You see these messages or opinions in games and books...in our own way we are all prophets of our time.

Yea, that's kind of my opinion as well.
There are questions in life that can't be answered until you experience them.
And this is one of them.
If i were to chose though, I would say no, they do not exist.
It might seem ignorant, but I refuse to live my life as a sceptic, worrying about everything and being suspicious, because I rather enjoy life's beauty.

yes I agree with you, but just to keep a conversation going, why always assume that it is wrong? Why so many people when confronted with "accusations" of being members of such groups, chose to not answer?

Because it's so far-fetched, unrealistic, illogical and ridiculous to even comprehend giving a valid argument against the sort of people that follow, support or believe these accusations.

Are you trying to state that some defunct 18th Century secret society has the ability to purposely direct and initiate Earthquakes and the resulting Tsunami?

Has it occurred to you that the Planet we live on is a rather dynamic place and that tectonic movement is a natural part of that dynamism.

We are lucky that the Earth is as stable as it is, due largely to our unusually large satellite and the gravitational balancing act it does.

Plate Tectonics are a natural phenomenon that may very well have contributed to the creation of life on Earth, they are not some super-weapon invented by some conspiratorial secret society intent on reducing Global populations.

The mere fact that Earthquakes and the associated events kill relatively few people would negate that assumption anyway.
