not sure about the illuminati but i do believe there is a global elite who control everything in this world. such things like the media/the banks/etc etc. their purpose is for a one world government. if anybody whos played the first assassin's creed youll know what i mean

as for the tsunami/earthquake i honestly dont know tbh. i believe its a natural disaster but the other side of my head is telling me these people could have very advanced technology that nobody knows about. but tbh i think its the former rather than the latter.

As always I'm amazed that people can give simultaneously so much and yet so little credit to the apparent conspirators - so much credit that they believe they can control earthquakes/tsunamis/whatever and at the same time so little credit that they're unable to keep it secret from a few people who research on the internet with an overactive imagination.

It's one of the basic problems I've got with most conspiracy theories.

So you base your world-view on the content of a fictional storyline in a computer game?

Given that the world is made up of various competing and disparate dynastic and corporate entities that are all in completion with each other, it is highly improbable that there is some Global New World Order.

Only cause the first game would have been too long to carry the silly story

I think youtube gave conspiracy theorists a wonderful forum they didn't have access to previously, and as everyone knows, if it is on youtube then it must be true.

Personally I think the Earthquake was a natural event, and no one pushed the magic button to cause it.

If these big, all-knowing all-powerful members of a secret organisation are able to control everything we do and create 'natural' disasters, how are they unable to keep these facts secret from the world?

Or are we just getting better at breeding super-sleuth geniuses who happen to reside in basements?

Conspiracy theories all link to each other in a circle, all fuelled by other conspiracy theorists often with no proof whatsoever.

If this earthquake was supposed to be reducing the world population then they didn't do a very good job of it...

News and information spreads faster than ever before on ALL subjects, not just 'world ending' events. 15 years ago hardly anyone had the internet, 10 years ago there was very little in the way of online news video.

Look at something much more mundane, such as I don't know, Apple's iPad2. That's all over the news, back in the day, how much coverage would it have got prior to release? Nowhere near as much.
