Because I'm not a simpleton?
I apply the same level of critical analysis to, say an article in the Daily Mail, thereby determining the level of bias, blatant inaccuracies and the ignoring of contrary evidence.

It's quite simple really

The problem with video evidence is that it is never refuted at its host site, it just goes on existing like it's a proven fact.
That's why we still have simpletons posting the Zeitgeist film, even though it's been shredded multiple times over in every forum on the planet. That same shredding is never pointed out by the Youtube hosters, so the endless cycle of innocent credulity continues.

There are earthquakes and tsunamis frequently all over the world, some massive and some smaller, most don't make it into the news.

Also what about the massive tsunami in Alaska in the 60s caused by a landslide but still a tsunami...
