Ready to order, just want some quick advice

Go and pick it up if you're that desperate! Just changed my rear fan to push air out of the case.

The cpu cooler is pulling air towards the heatsink, therefore the rear fan is sucking from the heatsink and blowing out. Hope this makes sense, don't confuse the situation again lol

my side fan is also sucking air in directly onto the GPU. I have 2 vents at the top of my pc, as u say hot air rises, so any missed go through that.

I think i've figured out the reason behind my fan pointing down to the ground, it sucks in cold air, cooling the actual PSU minimilising (spelling) the hot air rising.

Indeed.

all makes sense now yeh :)

as for the psu. nice idea, and mine will be the same, but the problem is, mine sits on the carpet, so i imagine mine will be sucking in dust, caking the internals in it and then caughing out little bits all over the wall :(

well thats the Coolmaster HAF 912 Plus and the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler ordered for delivery tomorrow...

any recommendations on how to achieve best airflow?

I have the same case and found it worked best with the big fan (200mm) in the top of the case and the smaller one (120mm I think) at the front.

Do I believe you?!

My CPU and mobo are reading at 25c. I think that's more than cold enough considering a cpu can with stand double that and more...

Your pc coughs? NICE

EDIT: Just thought, the arctic cooler comes with 2 mounts, intel and amd. This would have an effect on EVERYTHING. positioning...

haha not exactly. same principle still applies, other than the fact, all i can realistically do is blow hot air on the heatsink, and the fan will be pointing at the gfx card, which gets mighty hot.

well that seems fine, hot air rises (a wise guy told me that) which is then drawn from the arctic cooler and out the top end of the case. Going over heat sinks. Sounds good to me

well everything is in the new case, and i must admit, i am supprised at how much difference spending a bit more money on a case can make.
routing the cables was sooo easy (apart from my cpu power which was about 5mm too short) so now it looks all tidy and provides good airflow :)
also the cooler, well, not sure if its all the cooler, im sure the more spacious case with good airflow helps, but temps under load on prime oc'd to 3.8GHz have gone from 54/55C to 35/36C. which i think considering i got the case and cooler for the same price as the H70 is a pretty good drop, wonder if the H70 would have had better results.
