Motherboard is MSI 870-C45 AMD 770 Chipset (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard

IMO, yes.. As long as your CPU usnt heavily overclocked quad or hex.

I wouldnt go any higher though

the 840 uses 95w and the 955 125w so you should be ok as long as your not overclocking them i think.
