Earthquake in Japan....9.0...ouch!

I think you need to understand she's been peddling her religious bull**** rantings on there for over a year.
I actually think the dumb bitch means it.
Not to worry, 4chan will probably find her and cut her into bits.

Yeah I saw the other videos but had a look at the 4chan thread on her and it's obvious she is just a troll

Scary to think my brother is over there at the mo. Mum got a call from Shell on Thurs morning to say he was alright. Luckily he's pretty far away from it all AFAIK, not sure exactly where though. Hopefully he'll get back by the end of the month.

What, so she's uploaded 41 videos in a year? Just to troll? That's some trouble to go to.

No, she really is serious. You obviously don't realise how mad some Christians can be.

You obviously don't really realise how epic some trolls can be.

Why is it even discussed in a serious thread, some fellows spend too much time on 4chan?

Rarely visit GD so hadn't spotted this thread, I have an Aunt that lives in Japan but luckily is safe and well and managed to fly out of there yesterday.

There's been news that there has been a third explosion at the plant that may have damaged the reactor, fear of radiation leaks. PM to address nation soon.

Would have to be deeper than that as the water table can easily be down to that region... not sure if its a consideration from going deeper, not really sure why they don't bury the construction more but have wondered.

Erm... The "water table" goes down a hell of a lot further than 100m... Try tens of thousands of metres,.:p

If you wanted to build one underground and were worried about contaminating the water table (by that I mean water connected to the surface in some way) you would probably want to build it within a large salt or shale surface hundreds of metres down, or within an area sealed from the surface by a large amound of above material.:)
I.e. unworkable.

Clay is the best place.
That where they bury the spent fuel anyway as it has least chance of contaminating ground water

Wow thats pretty impressive/scary

8 ft in a single quake is massive, but then expected in a quake of this magnitude. The 8ft will be in the centre with it trailing off along the 250 miles of the fracture at either side. Still, massive displacement!

Hence why I said can easily be down that far ;)

Well yes, but you made it sound like the water table had a base as well as a top.;)

Clay is a major constituent of shale.:p

Also a lot of muclear waste storage facilities are built into salt, it is VERY impermeable and also flows so eventually "covers" the lot. You don't very often get large areas of pure clay either.
