Does anyoen know what bios version comes pre loaded with the B3 version of MSI P67A-GD65 Intel P67 ? I am assuming that as its a new release it would likely ship with the latest bios version ro would they be shipped using the old bios versions that the oroginal boards were shiped with ?

Only reason i ask is that me and Bios flashing don't seem to mix :( last time I did a Bios Flash I effectively killed it and had to get a mate to do a hot swap for me ( this was many years ago on my old trusty KT7A)

no idea but its so simple nowadays, stick the bios files on a usb stick and flash it from uefi bios :)

If your not happy doing it via USB (although I can thoroughly recommend the MSIHQ Forum tool for flashing bios) then use the live update version from MSI website, had no problems using that either and everything is done for you. I am using version 1.91b as I was having a lot of problems getting a stable overclock even to 4.5ghz with 1.8 bios. Now have no problems at all, had prime95 running for 9hrs and didn't go above 61c

Am now on v1.10 and everything fine here. A few more things to chose from on the BIOS that wasn't there before. No idea what they do though lol so not much help. Just be careful if you have a keyboard with 2 USB cables as apparently it wont let you navigate the bios. 25 second boot though on 2 x WD Black HDD's, not bad for non ssd.

My local shop says they are arriving at the moment with 1.8 bios.

With the UEFI bios update ia USB, will all my OC settings etc be wiped if I upgrade to the new 1.10b1?

Maybe, but it's a good idea to wipe your custom OC settings prior to upgrading the BIOS as there's a good chance that OC settings made under a different BIOS would be incompatible, and could cause instability.

hmmm ive got 1.8A bios on and cant seem to update to the newer ones, tried in dos and via usb stick via efi bios and also windows no go.....

sorted by clearing cmos :)
