Is this laptop any good.

The default answer I have to give is - not as well as a desktop. Unless there's a specific reason you need a laptop for gaming, an equally priced desktop will always perform far better & last you longer with upgrades.

The specs look ok but don't expect to be able to play most modern games on high settings.

It'll deal with old games absolutely fine and new games pretty well too :)

As a comparison, I have a GeForce GT230m in my laptop and it can run CoD, L4D2 etc. on max at 1366x768, and the Radeon 5650 in the above machine is a fair bit better.

I need the mobility. Im not expecting super fast gaming. I'd like to play some older games (last 5 years) and Football Manager.

Notebook Check should give you some idea of what that GPU is capable of. Click on the coloured FPS boxes to reveal the spec of the machine they used for each test. At first glance it appears that the laptop you're looking at is of a similar spec to the one Notebook Check used. It should be fine for your gaming needs.
