Hi,

Just got a sentry lxe fan controller - trying to work out what my fans used to run at on my old fan controller when i turned them down to 7v as to how that compares with what i have now stated in rpm on my new controller

I take it its not as simple as taking the max rpm dividing by 12 and times by 7?

Thanks

A very crude line of reasoning would be power is proportional to voltage^2, and fan rpm is proportional to power. I'm inclined to guess rpm is roughly proportional to voltage squared.

I'll have a think, it should be possible to do better than that.

edit: after looking at the spcr data I'm inclined to agree, it looks convincingly linear. Don't know why though
