I have an interview tomorrow too, for a job that sounds perfect! Fingers crossed it goes as well as yours did =)

Congrats mate, just had 3 interview myself, got 2 job offers and 1 further offer after they originally said no because someone dropped out. I just hate the waiting after the interview and that they always insist on speaking to you in person to tell you

The competition I was up against was unreal, it goes to show some initiative, volunteering and being calm can go a long way. According to the Section leader it was 'an easy decision'.

Thanks, and indeed, just volunteering at the college and giving up some of my free time made a huge difference.

Looks like my role will be one that involves a bit of learning!

Will get the chance to train to use various radiation detectors provided by EDF and Magnox, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, High Performance Liquid Chromatography.

Plus I will be in charge of a brand new prep room / two labs and an analytical lab.

And right now, I work at Asda.

It sounds like its going to be really interesting work. Far better than Asda that is for sure.

Volunteering and showing that extra effort is often what employers are looking for, it makes you stand out in a crowd.
