Gigabyte boards good or bad?

I'm looking at replacing my Asus P8P67 Pro R3 sandybridge board due to having nothing but problems with it from first installing the thing. It takes forever to boot up from cold, it keeps losing the memory speed settings and I need to press the Mem OK button to get it to work again. It loses the ps2 mouse and keboard and recently started losing a usb mouse and keyboard. It's the last Asus board I'll be buying.

After spending over £600 quid on a new rig I can't afford to keep throwing money at it, so are Gigabyte boards know to be reliable and would the Gigabyte P67A-UD3 be a good buy, I don't intend overclocking the cpu and don't need fancy stuff like bluetooth.

I do not know about the P67 chipset boards however I have nothing but praise for the stability of my 890 chipset Gigabyte board.

ive nether had a problem with gigabyte boards going to get the ud4 p67

i have nothing but praise about my gigabyte p45 extreme and g33. they are very stable, even better than my evga 750i f t w (i blame nvidia for that!)

gigabyte are one of the worlds leading motherboard manufacturers. they make solid reliable products and have a fantastic customer service reputation.

look at how many gigabyte boards we stock the website.

I Have a gigabyte P67-UD5 and i can say this thing is amazing. Buy a gigabyte motherboard & you wont regret!

I have a X58A UD7 and it's solid. With equal features I would buy over Asus without hesitation.

It's a great board, I had the UD4 prior to the B3 swap out. The UD5 lowered the volts needed to OC to 4.5GHz. Plus, the power\cmos\reset switches are a nice touch.

Just to add that I have been buying and using various gigabyte boards for the last 8 years or so and have been very impressed with them all.

Even when I had to rma one the process was fast and the feedback from gigabyte was excellent. Turned out it wasn't the motherboard but the power supply.

Does the gigabyte have the features like the asus boards such as , 2 overclocking settings in the bios you can load up. The ability to put the computer to sleep but it will carry on downloading things like the Asus AI Nap?

Could anyone tell me please as I'm looking at buying the GA-P67A-UD4-B3 .

I would suggest downloading and reading the manual from the Gigabyte website before purchase however from what you are asking it seems probable.

On my 6th Gigabyte board. First one was a P965-DS3. I am just waiting on a P67-UD4 to be delivered for a SB build..

All the Giga boards have the facility to save eight (8) OC bios profiles in the bios (or is it 10????) and as many as you like on a USB pen drive or your hard drive.

The Giga boards have a dual bios system that protects users from doing stupid stuff like brick their boards

when doing a bios flash.

If I have not understood what you are asking please give the question another bash and maybe I will get it the second time round.

My other question was is it possible to make the computer go to sleep/ power saving set up so it runs in the back ground downloading but everything look off?

The motherboards have all the full gambit of sleep functions including the S3 sleep functions but it is not something I have ever used or done so sorry mate I can not help you there.
