Skiing/Snowboarding 10/11

Good conditions in Scotland after last weekends snowfall. Few photos taken at CG on Wednesday, still very good when I was up this morn.

Looking up the White Lady.

Aye, I was up at Glen Shee again on Sunday, complete white out and blizzard for the whole day, there was 2ft deep snow drifts in place. Couldn't see what you were skiing on though so couldn't really do much, still had some fun though.

So my girlfriend loved skiing so much she's just got herself a set of Salomon Mai Tai twin tips. Better skis than mine, swine! She got a deal though! They were only £180 brand new!!

Jealous

Just got back from Morzine and it was the freaking best trip ever! We had a mini dump part way through the week but after that it was just sun and blue skies, still found loads of good pistes and the parks were amazing! Hit my first blue kicker as well as getting my fs + bs 1s on the greens so I was well happy. Best thing was I got to ride with Vicci Miller who rides for Oakley for a day, she gave us loads of tips and then we all went drinking in the evening, amazing woman, amazing day! Think I fell slightly in love with her! :o

The stick pricks got to go with Andy Bennett (also Oakley) who was really cool, highlight was seeing him 50/50 a box in just his ski boots!

Also picked up a Forum Manual in the sales and can't wait to take her out. I'm pricing up flights to New Zealand as we speak...

Just got back from a long weekend riding in Chamonix, it was absolutely epic. Temperature hit 16 degrees in Flegere on Saturday - we were riding topless most of the day, ended up with a bit of a sunburn. There wasn't much snow left on that side of the valley but Grand Montets was still good. Slushy, but that's still fun on a board. I wasn't tempted to ski the whole weekend.

That was my 5th trip this season, now managed 26 days riding..I'm wondering if I can squeeze one more in next fortnight to Meribel before the snow completely melts.

I'm not ready for the season to end! :D

My new Forum Manual and Rome 390 Boss bindings :)

Where'd you get the cash!? :D

Nice ride! Have fun in NZ. Make sure you get to Wanaka for TC, Cardrona and Snowpark - spent a lot of my youth down there :) Ohau is definitely worth a visit too.

Just caved in and booked one last trip for the season to 3 Valleys...not much snow left but apparently the parks are still open.

Didn't quite hit my goal of 30 days this year - 1 day off!! Still pretty good :D

Yeah the plan is to spend most of the time around Wanaka, can't wait! You've done pretty well this year, would love to take a month (or more) off to go riding.

I've only take two long trips (1 week in St Anton and 10 days in Whistler) this year - the rest have been 3 day weekends and 4 days over Xmas. In total 15 days leave for 29 days riding..economical on the leave time anyway. No need to take a whole month off :)

If you can get a chance to ride in the North Island at Whakapapa and Turoa, do it, especially if you're lucky enough to have good weather (bluebird stiill days are rare) - it's not often you get to ride an active volcano - the terrain is completely different from anywhere else you're likely to ride :) The hike to the crater is well worthwhile too, the view is incredible.
