Just ordered a corsair h50, and have a few questions about it.

I understand that it requires two fan connections on the mobo a 4 pin cpu fan, and I believe another 3 pin fan

My board has those two fans connections available, however the 3 pin connection is right at the bottom left of the mobo which I don't think the corsair pump cable is long enough to reach.

So I will need to get an extension.

Based on the vids and pictures on the interwebz. it seems like the pump connection uses a 3 pin connector, is this the case?

Thanks, cant wait to get this working. Got the h50 delivered today, however I'm still waiting for the 3 pin extension from ebay, that hasn't arrived... pretty frustrating.

you could always put the pump on the cpu fan header and the rad fan with a molex adapter? a 7v one would make it pretty quiet.

thanks for the tip, i got it working fine got the extension a day later.

I'm actualyly a bit underwhelmed with the h50, i achieved a 5 degree less heat on the cpu with the h50 compared with my previous cooler

some people may say the 5 degreess is worth spending £56 on it. I'm indifferent.
