What do you do for a living?

I'm a Transmission Control Supervisor. My role is to keep CNBC TV station and the Premier League channel (people outside of the UK my know it) on air at all times. When it all goes wrong its great fun. The rest of the time i'm sitting on here or neogaf or watching other TV. There is literally nothing to do 95% of the time :(

Cant complain too much though, I'm on £31k which can (and does) hit £38k with overtime & I get 15 days off a month in 4 or 5 day blocks before I take any holiday. I get 20 days a year (12 hr days) so I can essentiually have 5x 2 week breaks from work. a year.

Any tips on Stereoscopic workflows on a budget? I'm using C4D, AE and FCP with a range of rigs, scripts and plugins respectively.

Not a great deal of experience in 3D yet. Although no matter what budget there are a few things you need to get spot on.

During the shoot you need your interocular distance and convergence points pretty much setup spot on as these are difficult to correct well in post.

No matter how well setup each camera is there will be some variation in the colour between each, so you need to colour correct usually the right eye to match the left before doing any other work in post. At this stage you also need to match the geometry of the eyes so they match as you will probably find that they are slightly off.

Make sure the timecodes of each eye match!

In post there is a good plugin for FCP called Dashwood Stereo3D Toolbox that you should have a play with (http://www.dashwood3d.com/stereo3dtoolbox.php).

When finished I'd recommend holding an Uncompressed 10bit or ProRes HQ file for each eye, which can be used to make any 3D variant you want from a frame stacked file for Blu-ray to a side-by-side file for broadcast.

Hope that helps somewhat!

I was about to call BS then until I re-read your post properly. 700 stops would be some going in a day :D

I'm a waitress, applied for an apprenticeship with united utilities but the site specified the e-mails would be dished out by the 13th March and I've still not heard anything back despite e-mailing them about it. I just hope it is a delay because on the website it still says the position are screening applications. I'm pretty hopeful, waitressing ****ing sucks.
