Does anyone still play this game online?

My brother just bought it for me from game in the 3 for £10 deal along with Bioshock 2 and some other game and was wondering whether it was worth installing or not.

Thanks

I installed it a few months ago, I got the battlefield trilogy for £4.99 from GAME.
The only people who are playing now are seriously hardcore.

I played it for a bit and then went for BF2 instead. Still absolutely loving that. Just a brilliant game.

Might just install for the laugh then, are there any essential mods that I should install? Any texture packs etc?

Thanks again for info!

It was ruddy fantastic!

El alamein (sp?) was the best thing ever. I was only 13 at the time too and was blown away. :p

I was playing DC a few weeks ago, theres about 6 or so servers that still have regulars to keep it going, but the trouble is they have been turned into 'no rules' setups, which makes the games a bit comic book and chaotic...

Good for a nostalgic laugh, but not much more......

Nothing much beat the feeling of stealing the tiger from the enemy side on market garden and dragging it back over the bridge.

Miss those days...:)

I used to love BF1942. Spent so many hours on dedicated Coral Sea/Battle of Britain servers!

Wish I could find a similar dogfighting game that's not too in depth/simulatorish...
