Can any blu ray players play MKV over network?

I'm constantly using rewind on account of my wife getting distracted by her phone and saying 'what did he just say?'. Also if you miss a detail such as the title on a book or a sequence in a busy action scene, etc.

I can't remember the model but the LG one I have at home streams MKV files over network, looking at google its the BD300 but will check when i get back.

He got the Sony 370 and ordered a Playon HD Mini 2 after I read about them in another thread.

Now to sell the HTPC which he never used lol.

Wow....With films I have seen before I often rewind and watch certain sections again or if my phone goes and I miss something.

Imagine Sky+ HD without being able to fast forward or rewind :p

Big difference imo - Sky + has tons of adverts, most mkv's imo would be rips from dvd's /BR's etc with no ads, but even so thats the difference between a paid for product (and one costing a fair bit of money) and something thats for free not even written by the "product" designer

I appreciate breaks to get beer /phone etc, but usually I just pause a film (I realise in this instance this couldnt be used in your case), but I dont see the point of just viewing highlights of a film, if I watch one I watch it all the way though (ok I might skip the titles on a 007 film for instance, but thats it really, not actual action)

Not meant to knock what your viewing habits are - so please dont take it the wrong way - I can understand playing certain clips if you are demo'ing your system for friends etc, otherwise why rip the whole film, why not just store the highlights you watch ?:D

I still watch the whole film though...I might just rewatch a sequence again within the context of the whole movie.
