Whats the biggest TV I can get without losing quality or ending up with ghosting in games or hard to see action scenes in movies.

I have seen an LG for 499, 50 inch. 720p. Is this pretty much the best I'm going to get?

The screen I have found is a LG - 50PJ350.

Thanks!

If i was going that big I would only be getting 1080p

50PK350 is only 60 more and is full 1080p

We just bought one of these, and it is a lovely TV, not really had any problems with it. Only slight downside is the lack of HDMI inputs (only two) and the fact that one is on the side of the screen.

SAMSUNG LE46C530 46" Full HD £500, I think I can post this link,

Could be had for £449 from eBay just a few hours ago (1 year warranty only though).

I'm also after a TV in this price range, roughly £400-550 but would prefer to spend a little less and get a home cinema setup in addition to it.

It does look lovely but a little on the expensive side. Is there no 46-47" that could be had a little cheaper?

I never saw the 50PK350, So thanks for that. I'll probably end up with that one. Found it for 590, But havent had a good search, Just Google shopping. It'll take me a few weeks to get the cash together anyways, So I'll keep an eye out for better prices.

Thanks!

Try being richer to get better sounds! :p

Found the 50PK350 for £549 here [link removed]

Note sure if the retailer is reliable and whether manufacturer's warranty with LG is enough though.

+1 for the LG 50PK350

Based largely on this review, my friend got one of these a few weeks ago from a place with a richness of sounds and the price was only £480 at the time (the price of this TV has been fluctuating quite a bit recently and has gone up since). When we got it hooked up - it looks Fantastic, excellent for playing HD video and even SD stuff looks good due to the clever scaling engine used by LG. You don't get the bells and whistles of more expensive TVs like internet TV, THX presets, Freeview HD or loads of HDMI inputs - but it you want a nice quality, massive, 1080p plasma at a lowish price - then IMHO this is the one to look at.

I've got the 40 inch version of the samsung 530 and its a superb bit of kit (1080p). Due to that I'd say go for the 46 inch version
