Katy B

I like this one:

Her new one's good, got a bit of an old school breakbeat going on, and it has a good DJ Fresh remix too which keeps an old school flavour.

I kind of like her stuff. it's easy enough to listen to and she's a pretty lass, but as a mate said when we were talking about her, ** offensive comments will not be tolerated **

The radio 1 live lounge of perfect strangers is brilliant !!!!! she got talent unlike some artists.

See it was a bit average for me.

Listen to the radio version etc.

Then listen to the live version.

And you tell me she didn't bottle it with the high note which to me gives the edge to the vocal, musically. Clearly out of her comfort zone for live performances ;)

I'd tap it though :)

Not a bad little album, about 50/50, some of it's a bit too soft and some is way too 90's Garage for me, even though I loved Garage at the time...best track is still "Katy On A Mission"

Well I did buy the album and I'm on a second listen through - seems pleasant enough but nothing exceptional. The "hidden" track at the end of track 12 actually seemed fairly decent though. Katy On A Mission does seem like the best song of the lot still although I'm not so keen on the mix, it doesn't sound quite the same as the one released on YouTube but maybe I'm imagining that.

thats what i thought. It seems a little...short???

I'd probably need to listen to them back to back to be sure but that could be it, there's just something that doesn't seem quite right.

Broken record, Easy please me and Hard to get are pretty fresh tracks. I like it a lot. havent herd the hidden track yet.

On a second play through Easy Please Me sounded pretty good. If you just leave Hard To Get running then after a few minutes of silence you should hear another track tagged on the end - I think it's something like 11 or 12 minutes playtime into track 12.
