I've made a purchase and its bright yellow!

Woot Woot

so you can have a bit of extra noise and keep the warranty. You paying or is he for the mix up over advertised spec ?

Unfortunately in the spec mix up the car also has other additional extras which amount to nearly 4k which they firmly believe more than compensates, which is fair enough. :)

But they have got me a stunning price for a PSE fitted by Porsche, basically half price. :)

Am just gonna do as Housey/DiamondMark suggest and get it pre-inspected by a specialist or request they themselves take it to Porsche for the 111 point check so I have no issues getting warranty. Can't see an issue as so far all my phone calls and emails have been replied to timely and professionally, seems like a decent honest dealer, but not come across anyone who has said a bad word about them which is a good thing. :)

What a great choice of car, a 'proper' thoroughbred sports car, I am looking forward to seeing that in the metal for sure.

The yellow does suite the car, it wouldn't be the colour I would go for ...but I can't deny the fact it does fit the car and what it's all about. Nice :)

Good stuff, it makes sense with any 911 to get it checked out for peace of mind. It's the less obvious things that can be expensive. I'm sure the car is straight as the dealer seems to have a good reputation, but it's things like Rev range 2's I'd like to know about and any leaks. I seem to recall Andy Fearns spent hours going over my GT3 for the buyer, who paid for the inspection himself. Went down the panels with lights checking paint, picked up the door paint which he said was obviously done to a very high standard and also plugged in the Porsche computer and checked Rev ranges, running cycles and all sorts of other stuff. Then onto the ramp and full underbody check, engine check and suspension check. Sadly is was perfect so the sale went through :(

Dealer has booked it in with Porsche, goes in tomorrow at 10am for a 111-point check along with a print out of the DME Scan. So as long as there is nothing in range 4 or above and the 111-point check does not come up with thousands of pounds of work required I should be taking delivery Wednesday/Thursday. :D

The dealer has also sourced me a PSE system for £950 fitted which they shall do next month. :)

Fingers crossed Porsche don't say its a lemon, but the dealer is confident its an immaculate car, lets hope so.

I envy you no end!

Nice whip! Why can't I get a job that allows me to own an EVO and a Porsche?? :(

I've got a brand new Vauxhall Astra SRI on the drive at moment too as well, as dropped the EVO off today for its Forge goodies. :D

Vauxhall seem to have come a long way, nice car, just a shame about its engine, I had to check when I got home it had one as I feel I could have pedalled it home faster. :D

Thats the best 200 quid odd you are going to spend :)

£216 in total, but yes worth every penny, now lets just hope its not a lemon. :)

I bet its not, but how much would you kick yourself if it turned out to be for the sake of a days delay and a couple quid :)

Flash, just flash

So all you need to do after you pick it up, is to get it Zymol'd ;)

Well I am skint until I sell the EVO, as plan is:-

1. Do the car myself, polish, wax etc. and see how it comes up, in the showroom it was more or less swirl mark free so it may not need detailing. :)
2. Purchase 2yr warranty for the EVO and then eventually sell it.
3. Get the PSE zorst fitted.
4. Try to find some X51 headers and fit, won't void warranty as Porsche part.
5. Go on a Silverstone driver training day in 911s.
6. Once 90 days passed, buy 2yr OPC warranty. :)
7. Then ask if they will let me fit an after mark muffler system if I feel the need for more grunt.

At some point sell the EVO too. :)

Aye, Porsche sorting MOT too, so 12 month ticket. :)
Also dealer has agreed to stick the PSE to one side and fit it for me at agreed price in a months time, as I'm skint now until payday, so will get used to the car and then get the PSE fitted sometime in April.

You know anyone who can get a set of X51 headers by any chance?
