Other than the fixed chipset fault, does the B3 board have any other improvements?

For those of you who have already changed from B2 to B3, is the B3 more reliable than the B2?

Reason I ask is I'm thinking of getting rid of the Asus pro I have now if Asus reliability hasn't improved with the B3 revision. Might change it for Gigabyte or MSI if I get the option from the place I bought it.

I have the ASUS P8P67 Deluxe B3.
It came with the latest BIOS [1305] installed and seems to be rock solid. Its been running at least 8 hours a day since Wednesday.

if we were clever, wouldnt we just buy the cheaper B2 boards, then send them to ASUS (or whoever the mobo maufacturer is) for the B3 replacment and save ourselves some money?

greedy retailers?

That, and the old chestnut of Supply and Demand. Retailers have stock of the older boards and no-one wants to buy them. Plus it seems that the suppliers can't get enough stock of the B3s to satisfy demand - people like me were waiting for the fixed versions and now have to sit and wait for stock to come in :(

So, does anyone know if there are any improvements on the B3 other than the sata chipset fix?

Is the B3 reliable or is it "a work in progress" (polite way of putting it) just like the B2?

Same boards but a B3 fixed version I think. Mine has been rock solid BUT
I have had one double boot tonight which I hope isnt a sign of things to come :(
That was one of the previous issues too I believe
I might RMA before my 7 days are up, the double boot has worried me.

Hmmm, early days yet for news of B3. I have doubts as to Asus desire to ensure they send out a finished article. E.g. One that works and just needs the occasional bios update to improve functionality. But it's beginning to look like they ship out asap then let the customer be the QC tester.

I have just had a quick trawl round the net for some prices & an example of what I found is:
Gigabyte UD4 B3 Cheapest found £142.99 Most expensive £199.99 can anyone justify a £57 price difference?

That is just plain ridiculous, wonder how many etailers will also be raking in the monies from Intel for admin fees etc....
