Jesus Murry how much did you land in season 2?!?!?! :eek: I was given something like 2m and 160 (ish) for wages... (or have you blown the future of the club with lots of long term payments)

Also how does Smithies look in the prem? He's been pretty good in le champ but a 37 year old Basso is almost able to keep him on his toes over his team place...

:( Iv managed to hang on to him by constantly denying speculation of his sale and offering him new contracts every season. Worked so far...

Have you got Schneiderlin still? He turns into a key part of the midfield if you train him as an offensive midfielder and then play him box to box :) (some random things never seem to change in FM)

Oh and a little plus I managed to get Dodo on loan as a back up left back :D (well excited as he hasnt played much so far in the game so he should love my team)
 
Yeah, still got him.

Finished last season top of the league on GD (last two games were 4-0 and 3-0 which gave me the 7GD ahead of the other team). Chamberlain was my star player, top scorer and one of my top assists. Pedersen was a great signing too.

I got 12 Million second season the only player that involved a long term payment was Dembele which was only 1 million.

So far in the premier league i have 5 points from 8 games, I will not mind going down first season.

That looks one attacking formation!! Lucky you got money for Forte and Seaborne both are terrible player's (FM is a little generous in my view of them). Hammond seems like a good sale too (he cant cut it in the champ) but its so sad loosing Chamberlain :(

What's Smithies looking like for you?? (im working out if he'll be good prem or not)

So lucky! Then again the squad has needed a fair bit of rebuilding out side of L1... For some reason I think staying up is usually a little simpler than getting promoted as you can focus on who to beat... (aka you should stay up really, just wish I had dembele)
 
Smithies is doing pretty good in the premier league for me got a report of 3 stars.


After 16 games i am 16th :), In the Semi finals of the carling cup aswell :O

16th that far in the season is pretty good! Im 4th after 8 games which is about what I was looking for, drawing a fair bit but not throwing too many games away (only one defeat). Should catch up for the prem!

Oh and the carling cup isnt awesome.... :p
 
haha well you'll get Europe if you win it, but that's never good in the second prem season....

Yeah that's exactly how I got Burton to stay up, after that its all about over performing in 7th!

Iv not seen a player be this bad ever! (and he's supposed to be my captain) Needless to say he's been dropped for a long time (under his motivation ratings were the words mistakes lead to 2 goals)
 
Signed a free player from Barca, Nolito is his name, stats arnt the best, but by god is he awesome on the pitch, played 5 games for me now, 8.01 average rating....and last game he got 9.8...3 cross's to set up goals, 1 was of a corner with Pablo Mills nutting it in, and 1 goal himself, he is a main-stay I think.
 
Nolito looks pretty good for a free!

For LB's its good to look at Greg Cunningham (if hes gotten good like on mine) or Dodô for a more attracting option. LB's are always really hard to get good ones (Fabio is also quality but really hard to get out of united) as the big teams get the best ones :(

Noticed something really cool too! One of my players came up with on their personal information thing "feels he gains a lot from training alongside Abou Trika" :D never seen it before but thought it was a cool extra that the players seem to get better training next to good players as well as direct tutition

31 games into the Championship and sitting 3rd on 54pts (W15 D9 L7), but there is only 10pts separating 3rd and 12th.

Star players so far have been Nicklas Pedersen (36 apps - 24 goals 6 assists), Guly do Prado (17(11) apps - 10 goals - 10 assists), Dalibor Stevanovic (27(5) apps - 7 goals - 12 assists).

I let Lambert and a few others go out in loan in January, in an attempt to replace and upgrade my english/HG quota, which I tried to do by signing;

Danny Simpson (230k), Tom Soares (350k), Sean Scannell (40k) and Nathaniel Clyne (750k).
 
That's pretty good! Pedersen looks to be a good buy too, Guly is a strange player as his form tends to be quite erratic but he does score some quality goals!

You loaned Lambert though :(

Iv gotten danny simpson before he's really good for that price, clyne always asks for silly wages but becomes prem good after about 5 years. Soares got released on a free on mine by stoke so im not sure what to make of him and Scannell should get good for that money.

Iv had to quit game at the christmas transfer window this morning after it nearly made me cry! My chairman sold Schneiderlin for 4m and Bakambu for 3m! Couldn't stop swearing as it just made the objective of promotion completely impossible as Bakambu is just 2 goals off top scorer in the league.

So iv worked out how to beat the chairman at his own game. Firstly you set a silly high asking price, 10m (not unthinkably high but really high so only rich top clubs can pay) then set it to only accept offers above that amount. It seems to scare off buyers nicely (getting Morgan to sign a new 4 year contract setting him to a key player and lots of cash helps too)

And for a season update im 2nd after 28 games 15 wins 8 draws and 5 losses, 3 points off Fulham who are top :) Its pretty clear at the moment the title is between me Fulham or Newcastle (52pts) as Swansea are next with 46...
 
Lambert has barely been playing really, and Clyne is on ~£6k wages I think. I have agreed to sign Franco di Santo for £1.4m for next season, and still looking at Cameron Jerome for the same fee. Looks like I might end up in the playoffs.
 
Yeah Lambert isnt really good enough the Champ but iv hung onto him as he's a but of a club hero...

Ah lucky with Clyne, for me he went to about 9.5k a week when I just couldnt pay that for him :( Franco Di Santo is a classic! Wigan havn't played him on mine at all when he's pretty awesome! Jerome is just pace though...

Iv pretty much got automatic as Newcastle have gone into Administration :D (in real life this isnt some thing I like but in FM teams dont just vanish)

Gonna clear off a few players for next season, try get some more english talent.
 
Awesome! Its hard to get really really good english talent (insert women joke) shame about the playoff final though, should push for automatic next season. Remember that trained in nation players dont have to actually be english :D (why iv been hanging on to Schneiderlin)

Top tip dont go near Steven Caldwell! (even if he's free) Worst player ever! I think ill be needed some new players for my back line as I think i'll get the prem...
 
Yeah, I know about the HG - just wanting a few more english flags as I'm getting rid of some of Southamptons original players.
