Is this a Steam problem, or ISP?

Won't be vac as that wouldn't stop rift
it's not ISP as his consoles work something is stopping incoming stuff but only games on his pc's only
still wondering if router might be behide it what consoles u got is it ps3 or 360

Both, and there bothing working fine without any noticble lag

Nope, I'm using a T-mobile dongle at moment, I get a good deal from them (and they aren't that bad for gaming TBH)
 
Are you sharing your internet connection? try disabling this if so. I started having problems with some games when I had my connection set to shared recently, not sure why.

Nope connection isn't shared, I'm thinking its the ISP, I'm borrowing some friends dongles later to try them out and see if they do the same
 
everything is back to normal now guys, got a different dongle, unlocked it, and the games are playing fine again
