Look at that picture. Gloved hand and a silencer! Not many occupations have those as listed requirments!

Time to get the fanboys in a frenzy. With the release of mysterious images, and a huge amount of time since the last Hitman game, Hitman 5 has to be expected soon. Agent 47 has been absent for quite a while, well apart from a pretty dire movie adaptation, so it only makes sense to bring everyone's favourite Hitman to the realm of glorious HD.

Prediction: Expect an official reveal at E3 2011. Release date: 1st quarter 2012.

this game has always been good, but never had enough longevity, once you have completed it once, then it thats it over and done with.

wish they had some sort of multiplayer or open roaming mode. rather than having each mission on a completely different level/map, have 1 huge map and have to move about yourself GTA style.

Oh God, I hope they don't bolt on a multiplayer. Hitman games have great single player campaigns. I hate how devs nowadays feel they have to add multiplayer to make it a good game. I'd rather play an awesome single play game than an average campaign with added average multiplayer.

I have been playing Hitman games on PC in "glorious hd" since Hitman 2, assuming you mean 720P or more. Lol.

Blood Money holds up still.

One of the few games I'm actually keeping a gaming-spec PC for. That, and anything Half-Life/Portal related. Hitman has been one of my favourite franchises since the beginning, can't wait.

cant justify buying a game for £30+ and only getting around 10 hours of play out of it.

i wonder how cool it would be if they made a game where you were hitman, and instead of AI guards/marks they were also real people but with lower health and inferior guns.

imaging playing a mission, where literally anything was possible. and you took it in turns to be the hitman.

I'll eat my hat if it doesn't turn out to be dumbed down and more action oriented. I call it Splinter Cell (and to a point, MGS4) syndrome where stealth is no longer very important.

Tbh I loved blood money, like that style of game so hopefully it's just the same sort of setup as that.

I loved blood money and went back to it recently, the controls are awful in comparison to recent games I've played. It was still a great game and I've been waiting for a new one :)

That sounds like fun for nobody except the 'hitman'. I'm just not a big fan of multiplayer bolt ons, fair enough when it's a game like Battlefield which is all about the multiplayer and to a lesser extent CoD games, people buy those for the multiplayer aspect.
I like to collect trophies / gamerscore when I'm playing and I HATE it when the game devs FORCE me to play their crappy half assed multiplayer in order to get 100% / platinum.
The only recent game I can think of that actually did do a good multiplayer to a SP game was Assassins creed: Brotherhood and I would bet that Hitman multiplayer would follow (steal) that model - if they do it, but I don't think they will.
If you have to justify the price with multiplayer instead of quality single player gaming then just trade it in when you're finished with it and buy whatever the new CoD clone is.
To be fair, I don't bother to play much multiplayer since coming from PC to console gaming as there aren't any decent RTS games, not really a fan of shooter multiplay.

I'd like it if you weren't just thrown into the mission straight away, It would be cool if you could visit the locations of your targets earlier in some missions and scope out the area. Perhaps let you mark the movement of guards and key areas ready for the actual mission.
