hi all
Been out of the scene for 6 years now and just getting back into things

Just bought a pc from a mate of mine
this is the spec i can remember

X58 2.87 Quad core extreeme
Asus Striker II extreem
8 Gb Crosshair Dominator RAM ddr3 duel channel
460ti 2gig by BFG
Coolermaster Storm Sniper All Black Edition Case
Coolermaster 1000w silent pro psu
WD 150gb Raptor

Have i been ripped off £400

Please dont chastise me all i want to know if he has done me a massive favour (wich i will praise him for) of if he has ripped me off,

will be a skt775 chip, from the rest of the spec, ripped off? i would personally say no. its a pretty decent spec (cpu depending) so i have seen people spend a lot more for a lot less.

Im so out of toutch its unreal just didnt know what i was getting into,
Just saw it played starcraft and Crysis 2 demo then parted with my cash lol

I'd say that's great value, infact, its probably worth getting another second hand 460 and running SLI, but other than that its a powerful system.

about £110 for the 1gb version and like i cant find a 2gb one second hand but new its £135+p&p here

Not sure if it would be worth getting the 2gb version, if the existing one is the 1gb or the 768mb version.

maybe look at dropping a storage drive in there like 2tb...and possible ssd also....

Yeah of course, full trust and yet you run to a PC forum and ask "if you're being ripped off". That's what I cann, erm, full trust. If I was your mate and saw this thread id be annoyed. He gave you a bargain.
