Spec me a crime series

Lie to me is on S03E13 as it currently stands.

Detroit 187 is good also, along with Nikita and White Collar :D

If you can live with subtitles then, as has been mentioned, The Killing is brilliant It is on iplayer right now and the DVD box set will be out in April.
Spiral is another subtitled joy, this time it is in French and very gritty
Mad Men is not crime in any shape or form
Justified is OK

I second the recommendation for Spiral.

OK... seeing as I don't want to give any spoilers, this is probably the best way to give a flavour of Southland:

I've been mentioning Southland on here since it first aired.

Another show I like at the moment is Justified and one I wish they'd carried on making was Brotherhood.

So im gonna pick up the mentalist, but its only 2 seasons so far. That wont last me long, so i still need more. Ive made a list of series could you kind folks tell me if there awesome or not:
Mad men
Lie to me
Criminal Minds
Bones
Burn Notice
Fringe

Good choice with The Mentalist, it really is very good.
Of the ones you have listed there, I have seen all of Burn Notice, Fringe and Bones.

I would watch in this order..
The Mentalist,
Bones,
Fringe,
Burn Notice

Currently the best crime series (and possibly the best series) is The Killing, a Danish 20-parter.

This would be the one I'd go for -heard so many good things about it. Shame it was only on BBC4 and I missed the start of it. Anyone know if they have plans to show it again from the start?

Dexter
Chuck - Crime with a comedy spin
NCIS
NCIS Los Angeles
Criminal Minds
Burn Notice
The Mentalist
Archer - Cartoon, more comedy than crime though!
Fringe
The Wire

They're not all crime like CSI but some of them revolve around the same concept.
