I'm relocating for my job (moving to Watford). I've just sorted a flat but it comes unfurnished. I'm not loaded so looking at 2nd hand furniture online to see if I can pick up some bargains. Most sellers require pick up. First off, anyone know any decent sights, i'm looking at preloved currently. Also, couriers. Can you arrange for them to pick up and deliver? If so, how much?

Gumtree is always good for a shout.

Also maybe look at finding everything you need and organising to have it all picked up on the one day if possible assuming you can find it all in roughly the same area, might save some coin.

Or also hiring a truck yourself.

Hiring your own van/car will be cost a lot less than using couriers. Also look at local second hand shops - they may be willing to deliver. Yell should be able to help locate nearby second hand shops.

Thought I had mentioned in my OP but apparently not, I haven't passed my test yet. First time i've really felt I'm missing out from not having a license, too bad I can't stick it on the back of my bike!

Get a friend with a driving license to help you - you'll probably need a hand moving the furniture anyway.

Most couriers will not carry furniture unless you can pack it properly. Even then you may struggle.
