Awesome, must have realised it's not much better than a 6990. Will have to see how much we get shafted on prices though, guarantee we'll get the price as such that it's £1=€1

On topic, if they actually do end up adjusting the price, surely they've got to adjust the 580's price to match?

As said before, surely the price of the 580 would have to come down, and maybe even the 570 a tad.

I'm not complaining or anything though, lower prices are always good

I can see some interesting price changes from both sides coming up soon.
offer prices on 6970 of £240 6950 down by £35 6990 down by £42 possibly a prelude to price reductions from the red team.
green team pricing hasn't really shown much significant change other than the offers on the 480's maybe if fuds pricing rumour has any truth to it maybe they are about to shake up their pricing as well.

I may be wrong, but doesn't past history tell us that when new hardware comes out the previous hardware does not get cheaper just the new hardware is extra expensive. Then 3/4 months later things slowly start creeping down as the shops shift their stock and start doing deals. Then when they run out of stock the new hardware price falls in line. Though I would say that is more cpu history than gpu I guess. Gpu's are more price competitive.

All them reviews don't reckon it's the fastest....google them and see!

Yep, even when I posted about those leaked clock speeds being equivalent to less than 570 SLI performance I still kept an open mind about the possibility Nvidia used some trickery to get it to beat the 6990.
I didn't hope for it to beat the 6990, I just didn't expect it to lose when nvidia's intention has always been to get the fastest card crown.

Our launch price was £699 - £749, our prices were ammended this morning before launch.
