did a search and i couldn't find anything so here goes

was just thinking back to when i used to do W.E.K.A.F and want to know what people do for there martial arts

heres some pictures of British championship http://www.wekafgb.com/content/gallery/british_mar2007.asp i think the one in the black in those photos is my old teacher/Sensei, whatever you want to call it. that day i won the British championship for my division/age and also best fighter under 18 in britan, was chuffed :) got to use samurai swords and other cool stuff, but unfortunately couldn't keep up the fitness and i came 3rd next time around in the British champs and missed out on a chance to go to the Philippines i think.i was abit bummed, will try and dig out some photos and trophies tomorrow.

so whats yours, and do you have any pics?

also: please no comments about me wanting to be a ped riding sword wielding imitation firearm bandit :p

I did do Wado Ryu some years back for about a year or so.

I would like some clarification about being bummed and missing out on going to the Phillipines as a result though.

I've dabbled in all sorts over the years. Aikido, Judo, Ju-Jutsu...mainly. I trained in Kali/Eskrima for a while aswel as JKD and Jun fan gung fu.

I teach a self defence class on Friday nights and incorporate a lot of different martial arts into it, mainly keeping things super simple but effective to allow anyone to learn it and have effective skills without putting in 5 years of hard training.

If you're looking for a martial art to try, give Judo a crack... mostly seen as a sport now rather than a martial art, but it all depends how you look at it and how you go about it.

my old school started doing judo classes after school hours, i went to a few sessions but i didn't really have a taste for it. and i used to do the occasional karate session when my Sensei couldn't do W.E.K.A.F because she and her husband teach both W.E.K.A.F and karate at the same time. also did Taekwondo for about a month, the only Martial art i have ever really stuck with for a while is W.E.K.A.F, but as previously mentioned i couldn't keep the fitness up and had no time for it

I know the martial art of stand and bang.

Im a big fella and I do TJF Ju Jitsu. now a light blue belt. love being thrown around!

rotters

i've always found being thrown around quite fun, dunno why tho.
also it toughens you up, compared to what i used to be i am now quite big and nobody picks on me, although i have let go a little bit since stopping most of my sports and need to tone up again :p

Although not technically a martial art, I do Krav Maga. Had to take a fair break from it due to injury but hoping to go back in about a months time.
Done Karate when I was much younger, but didn't enjoy it much.
