Hi OcUK People got myself a bit of an issue,

My parents TV in their bedroom has died, they had a Coax cable from the sky box downstairs into the upstairs one so they could view their sky from upstairs (Not different channels ofc) but now their TV has died.

I've seen little if no new TV's with a coax input, I've been searching around and found there is such a way of doing it using a freeview box, plugging it into one with 'RF Modulation' then plug that into a TV and hope it works.

I was just wondering what is the cheapest box with RF Modulation and an output to preferably HDMI (If it has HDMI I could just buy a monitor for their room)

Are you 100% sure it was coaxial? As far as I know, no sky boxes have a coaxial output (except for digital audio).

Pretty sure 100% of Sky boxes have co-ax output (as in standard TV-aerial). I'm also pretty sure all modern TVs have co-ax input. If it has an inbuilt Freeview tuner it'll obviously have a co-ax in.

Without the model number it's impossible to say. From a quick Google all the latest models have inbuilt freeview which will obviously have co-ax input.

All TVs have a coax input. It's called the aerial input.

As long as the TV has an analogue TV tuner then the RF2 output from a Sky box will work on the new telly.

IMO the idea of going for a monitor only and some sort of Heath Robinson concoction of boxes and converters is a waste of time and money.
