Thats pretty much settled. Bit more temp and power req. but better graphics. Should be ok with my Antec1200, could also pop the side panel fan in on low fan speed.

Ok, after having a look at a few options, and taking note of the advice given so far, im looking at the following spec :-

Spec so far :-
Antec 1200 case.
Antec 750W PSU
Win 7 OEM 64 bit system builder pack
WD 500 GB HDD
WD 160GB backup HDD
Xfi titanium 7.1
Creative 7.1 speaker system.

Proposed spec :-
SandyBridge I5 2500k
Gigabyte motherboard
4GB RAM
Corsair force 40GB SSD OS
Corsair force 120GB Games
560Ti or 480SE
unsure on which Heatsink and fan

Not sure which RAM to spec, which Mobo (H67 or P67, which 'UD' version - UD3, UD5 etc) but it will obviously be the B3 version. Not sure which fheatsink/fan CPU cooler nor which gfx card. Pros and cons of the 560TI vs 480SE?

the 2600k is usles to u, get t eh 2500k and sdave yourself some money, also why 8 gig of ram? get 4 and save some money, with the money save you can get a single bigger ssd, or a better gfx card

why?

8gb of ram will help and the 2600k he wants a future proof (or best it can be) for the buget he has now

if he wants to save money buy a gtx 480 its faster than the 560 anyway

also a single 120gb ssd would surfice, a vertex 3 would be good as its coming out soon if not a vertex2e bigfoot as it will fit is case could be good too
