The end of an era.

I'm delighted. Absolutely over the moon, see you on Wednesday Pakistan :D You'll teach us how to bowl, we'll teach you how to bat, and together we'll show the world how not to field.

It was a very good match. I must admit, when Sehwag didn't hit a boundary on the first ball, I feared for the match. There were high points and low points. I think that at times, the fielding from both teams (especially India, from what I saw) could have been much improved. But the Indian bowling was quality, so was the Australian bowling. I just feel that the lack of quality spin was what hurt Australia today. Even Tendulkar was getting the ball to rip, and Australia just couldn't make use of it. With Gambhir's run out, I don't know what was going on, absolutely terrible cricket.

I thought that Australia would win when India had lost Dhoni (who by the way, is painfully out of form) and the rrr was creeping up to 6.5 an over. But Raina and Yuvi kept their heads, and delivered.

Yuvraj will get player of the tournament. How amazing has he been? This sums it up perfectly:

But above all, contemplate all that Yuvraj has been through in the last year. He lost his form. He lost his fans. He lost his fitness with an injury. Controversy followed him like a faithful pet. He lost his Test spot. He almost lost his limited-overs spots. He hung in there. And he's taking India past every hurdle in this World Cup. With bat, with ball, and on the field. Yuvraj, take a bow.

Spare a thought for Ponting though

EDIT: By the way guys, I think we should have a separate thread for the final. If India makes it to the final, I'll make the thread, and it will be epic :D

India played well and the Aussie bowlers(Yes I'm looking at you Mr Tait) let themselves down with the number of extras.

However England could have some very serious problems with Yardy now going home due to Depression, I suspect this will be the end of the line for our poor World cup campaign.
