Any fans of The Darkness out there?

I can't stop playing the album after ElvisFan mentioned them in another thread.
One particular track called Trojan Guitar is superb.
I also like Stone Gods who are the other 3 members of The Darkness (or two)

I saw Hot Leg at the UEA last year, they were awful, got boo'd big time.

Much better choice are Stone Gods, which Dan is in. Their album Silver Spoons and Broken Bones is terrific.

Stone Gods lack the humour, Justin was the reason for The Darkness being popular, I mean...come on:

He looks a lot more like David St Hubbins with his new hair do!

I love what he's done with his hair....OH YEAH!!!!!!!

There was nothing humourous about Hot Leg when i saw them :p Shame really because I liked some of The Darkness stuff.

Thread revival here, but saw Stone Gods when they were supporting Aibourne and Hot Leg were truly epic in Oxford Academy. Have heard about their revival and can't wait!

Who's with me!??! YEAH!!

How about, hands up if you just picked up your Les Paul to play the solo from that song? No, in fact, keep your hands where they are keep on rocking out those tunes!

Sorry, I have REALLY got back into The Darkness and Hot Leg in a big way. Hot Leg were awesome and highly underrated.

I'm a fan.
Stone Gods were awesome supporting Airbourne even though the singer threw his Les Paul across the stage in a tiff.
The Hot Leg album is excellent too.
I've heard they've done the dirty on the bass player and got the original one back in.

Never heard of this!

His guitar kept crackling and going on & off so he gave the roadie a dirty look who tried to fix it.
He changed guitars and changed leads but it was obvious it was his transmitter/receiver at fault and people were shouting out 'put a normal lead in' but he didn't want to know.
Eventually he had enough and just launched his Les Paul onto the hard stage and carried on for the rest of the gig being just a singer.

I can't believe anyone would throw a Les Paul! Absolute blasphemy to guitar gods!

Yeah, its been a long time but I'll definately take a look if the Darkness reform; owned both albums although wasn't as keen on the second, and saw Stone Gods once or twice too, and owned thier album :)

I have one and it took a long time to save up for it.

They truly are a thing of beauty and definately not for throwing around especially given that they get better with age so even if your rich buying a new one to replace it really isn't a great option!
