What ebay feedback would you leave for this packaging -

Sorry if i am missing something obvious about the picture, (not had much sleep due to toothache).

Is it that every thing was loose in the box, if so surely it may still be ok.

Isn't there a one of those on the members market? Rjkoneils?

Edit: Nevermind, I am just being stupid. Plus that one has water blocks on it.

Lesson learned: buy from OCUK

+1: I received a new mobo from OCuk on Tuesday evening. The box had been packed in a plastic bag with a small amount of bubble wrap

Needless to say one end of the box was crushed and I didnt want to risk opening anything. I'm about 30 miles from OC so I nipped over to ask for the item to be exchanged. The chaps at OCuk couldn't have been more helpful, they apologised for the error and exchanged the mobo without a hitch. Moral is stick too OC, especially for expensive bits:)

Hey mate,

Someone on my degree course wouldn't agree with you. Speaking to him last week, he purchased a board which arrived beaten up with a dent in the corner of the packaging. Ocuk's answer "you broke it yourself, warranty void"

Told him he should have persued it but he gave up after a while. More fool him!

Ouch... Did he report the problem asap? I was on their doorstep the following morning and they were great with me. I took the packageing with me and they could clearly see is wasnt protected properly. Even the warehouse manager offered his apologies. How was his board wrapped?

Hey,

Won a p55a-UD7 from ebay, and it turned up today......... I don't even think its going to work but do tell me what you'd do based on the following picture -

Have you tested it yet?

You need to email the seller asap and tell him the packaging was woefully inadequate, and take several clear photos from different angles.

After you do that test the motherboard and decide whether you want to keep it. If it doesn't work then tell the seller you want a return, and take it from there. Bad form is to tell the seller it doesn't work then tell him the packaging was bad.

All the communication between yourself and seller is key evidence in a paypal dispute/chargeback, so you want to supply the pictures in email as soon as you can.

Someone once posted me a raptor 300g drive off ebay and sent it rattling around inside a rubbish jiffy bag.....He didnt see the issue at all!

Better off sticking to OCuk and forget ebay....ebay is just overpriced rubbish that gets posted around the UK from seller to seller.....

Sellers on ebay are generally pretty stupid, and won't know how to look after parts properly.

You're generally better off buying from a proper computing retailer like OCUK. They'll be looked after properly, and come with a warranty.

Once again, ocuk don't sell this board. No one does now!

Looks Ok to me. We are too used to the black plastic that cover motherboards for anti static, but I suppose the anti static plastic can come in all colour's, include's clear plastic.:D
