Hey guys, just after a bit of advice really on best exercises to be doing and all.

I'm a pretty stocky frame, not a skinny dude at all but have quite broad shoulders and that. Trouble is I want to, I suppose, define my upper body more. I don't have great pecks at all and my arms aren't great. They're just a bit meh.

I'm in the process of saving to get a place with my girlfriend at the moment so money is tight and I'm trying to work out at home as much as possible but what are the best things to do for trying to bulk up my chest and arms?
I'd like to do my abs as well, could do with losing the belly a bit but it's not huge, my upper half just seems a bit out of proportion in my eyes.

My diet isn't so bad, I cook myself a lot (fajitas last night and spag bol night before) but is there anything I should be cutting right out? Summer is coming up, would like to be trim

So any tips on diet/routine/exercises for someone training at home?

I've been contemplating a punch bag, again, any good?

Advice... I'm not great at this!

You'll be even more out of balance if you do not work your whole body :)

You have a lot of things you want to achieve, get bigger body parts, lean up the belly etc etc.

What equipment do you have available to use?

Hill sprints? Great for building muscle, albeit on the legs, and trimming some fat.

Pull ups etc are all great too. Just add bits to them, superset them with other exercises. Pylometric excerices are great for you and can certianly make a massive difference to your fitness.

Have a look at scoobysworkshop.com
It's all about home routines and the like. Get yourself some second hand dumbells, find something round the house to do pullups off and dips etc.

I started working out at home a few months ago, and so far, so good.

My general fitness was very low to start off with - I could barely run half a mile. I would run .6 of a mile, which would take me roughly 10 minutes, and it would knacker me out! I'm now running 2.4 miles in roughly 20 minutes - so a fairly vast improvement.

I bought a 20kg York dumbell set for about £30, and have been doing squats / bicep curls etc..

All in all I feel a lot better for it, and am going to continue!

I guess this post doesn't hold much value for you, other than a "it can be done" sort of thing.

ive just gained weight by sitting here for hours staring and watching her videos!!

You should see BodyRockTV if you want porno-esque workouts (she used to do softcore before her and her direc.. I mean husband found they could get minted creating a female workout site using the same principles). However I wouldn't recommend that site at all for actual workout/diet advice, and it's philosophy on chronic exercise/under-eating as something good. The girl used to be pretty hot but she's getting rather gross-looking now.

Marianne's site however is great, and she has great body to show for her efforts.

I always refer to here http://www.beastskills.com/ if I want something to mix up my home workout with - I switch between doing weights and bodyweight exercises from week to week. Really determined this year to master a unassisted hand-stand.. :P
