Digusting abuse of an animal in the UK

OK guys I know this is from the Daily Fail but I'm staggered that we in this country still allow circuses to have animals in their shows, I thought that died out in the 80s, but what I read in this article just staggers believe.

The elephant being abused is over 50 years old.

Horrifying article that is quite upsetting but something has got to be done. This lady needs to see out the rest of her life in peace and with respect.

I didn't post it for entertainment value, I posted because I'm absolutely horrified that this is going on in this so called animal friendly civilised country. The more people who are aware of it will surely make it easier for this poor animal to get some refuge from the appalling life she suffers.

If I had the means I'd go there right this instant and take her away from her suffering. Unfortunately I don't but surely someone in this country can do just that.

Edit: Looking at the pic of elephant with owner, it can easily be seen that elephant seems sick and in poor health.

the first 3 pics of those 3 yellow cowardly ******* landing blows on a chain defencless animal makes my blood boil. now i'm no tree hugging animal rights greeny but damn that makes me angry. oh for a few minutes in a ring, or darkened room with those clowns, no more animal battering for them......mmmmm

I also tend to avoid the threads that descend into hyperbole, but that really is terrible. It just makes me so sad to think that that animal has been privately abused only to be paraded around smiling audiences.

I imagine everyone that reads it will be appalled by it, however, the question is, other than breaking in and threatening to kill the owner unless he gives her up what can we do about it?

I would happily kill every single one of them, but realistically, what options do we have?

Raising a sum of money any buying her then finding somewhere to take her in? Not that I would be happy giving that **** money but if it saves her its worth it. If I could afford to live on £8k a year I'd happily work for him just to make sure the animals were well looked after.

The problem is that if you follow the ADI's suggestions of getting the government to ban animals in circus's what do you think this guy will do with them? Try and sell them on, and when he realises he can't he'll kill them.

tbh i think the animal is better off dead. at least that way it doesnt have to suffer. extremely upset and angry by this :mad:

I watched 1 minute of that video, had to turn off I feel sick, something has to be done now urgently.

What the **** are the RSPCA doing about this, they should have guys on site now, I mean right ****ing now, Police etc, this animal has to be taken away from that circus.

My boss has just seen this posted on my FB wall.

He has checked the website for the circus as has posted on the forum for the local newspaper at their next location. See if he can effect their sales.

Who knows if it will work.
