Just noticed this browsing through the specials.

Steam seem to be doing more deals lately and not telling people, or I must not have seen it :o

Brought this last year when the big steam sales were on, still not got around to playing it lol

Yep seems to be lots of steam sales,
But for these cheap prices can’t really turn them down

They are the most expensive games you'll ever buy if you never play them. :)

Notice: After activating the game for a third time TAGES will start a 30-day timer. After 30 days you will get that activation back up to 3 total activations.

Still haven't bought the game due to that. There have been so many problems with that system it's just not worth the hassle.

Why these companies haven't patched the DRM out on these games by now I don't know - especially when they're so cheap. It's like protecting a can of coke with a padlock, utterly pointless.

If they are cheap then surely it makes it even less likely they would patch out the DRM, as the gain in sales revenue would be reduced compared to a full-price title and they'd still have to pay the cost of removing the protection, QA etc.

Personally I just bought the game in the sales a while back, played through it, job done, never even noticed any DRM. Obviously if you're planning on formatting your PC in the near future it could be an issue but I don't know why people get so worried about it.

One game isn't an issue, but when many games use activations and you have lots of different games to manage activations for it becomes a gigantic pain in the neck.

On top of that, this is a Steam copy, and Steam games are supposed to be tied to accounts and not PCs. Valve should seriously consider banning hardware based activation DRM on Steam.
