This always amuses me with the anti-globalisation rallies. Marching in there Nikes from the US, made in China and sewn together in India, while drinking Coca Cola and listening to ipods.

Do they not realise that Globalisation is why they have such high standards of living.

We in the West enjoy an incredible standard of living, because of two reasons - one, the developing world works for slave labour wages and lives in horrible GENUINE poverty compared to anybody in this country (nobody in this country lives in real, absolute poverty) in order to produce cheap goods for us to enjoy. Two, we borrow money and live well beyond our means, which future generations will have to repay.

Both of these things are highly immoral, arguably.

Yet the protestors don't care about this. They want it all. They want it now. They want others to pay for it.

I stayed there last year with the wife. Very nice. Didn't eat there though as a lot of people said not to bother - highly overrated.
