Clearly the main 4 channels don't look at each other's film programming.

Last weekend While You Were Sleeping and Quantum Of Solice were on (not sure which channels)

This weekend While You Were Sleeping and Quantum Of Solice are on.

And a week or so back channel five showed Death Race two nights in a row!

I swear I came in from work last weekend and caught the end of it. I saw the drowning scene at the end.

Edit - I'm a real idiot, that was Casino Royale :)

Didn't know QoS was on tonight, thanks for the heads up!

I've been wanting to see it again as it might make more sense on a second viewing.

The worst is ITV, any films they show on ITV 1 on say a saturday, you can be sure will be repeated with 2-4 other films on ITV 2 over the next few weeks.

I'd imagine its the terrestrial channels adopting the blanket schedules that is more common with satellite and cable channels. They're loyal viewer base has dissipated with the increase in choice, competition from other media etc. I'm sure its even more true earlier in the morning.

Most people are either out on a friday night OR a saturday night so by showing the film on friday and saturday, they can catch 'everyone'.

/shrug.
