Thought some of you might be interested.

From London to Sydney, New York and Singapore, people across the world will be joining us on 26 March 2011 to switch off their lights. It’s a reminder to us all that we only have one planet Earth. And it’s an urgent message that we want to reduce the impact our energy system has on that planet.

So switch off your lights at 20:30 tonight and support change, or at least save a few pennies on your leccy bill :)

The Earth doesn't give a crap about your lights and regardless of how we leave it will happily go about erasing any trace that civilization ever existed here after we're gone.
 
Ok. But only because I will not be in the house.
Im at work, will not be able to switch the lights off there. Helath and safety . . . .

Why not turn on all your lights and appliances tonight and tomorrow night. Your mum and dad will appreciate the extra they will have to pay for their utilities. :p
 
What happens if I turn off my lights for an hour, then promptly fall down the stairs because I cant see, injure myself and have to go to hospital where they then use more electricity on healing me than I would have used in the first place if I had just kept my light on? ;)
 
8:30 you say? I'm going to defer it until 3am when my lights will already be off just like they are every other night
 
My power comes from Sizewell Nuclear Power Station so I am carbon neutral.


They even suggest watching a movie on your TV instead of habing your lights on lmao.
