I have £150 to spend on a phone but I'm wondering which one I should go for in this price bracket? Will I get anything better than the Orange San Fran that is only around £99?

Cheers

The san fran is a good phone for the money, you could probably pick a Bold 9700 up for around that price aswell

You won't get a new Bold 9700 for £150, maybe a used one from the bay of E. 8250's are below £130 if you look around but they don't support 3G or HSDPA. The San Francisco is probably your best bet, it is good bang for buck payg phone. Plenty of modded ROMs around if that floats your boat and it is easily unlocked for all networks.

I didn't say new, I just said you could probably get one

The HTC Wildfire is around £150 and will be better put together than a San Francisco but slightly smaller screen and resolution.

It may be better put together, but the screen's terrible in comparison!

Having used both, there's no way I'd pick a Wildfire over a San Francisco, the San Fran's far, far nicer to use.

The Wildfire is just nasty. I'm not a big SanFran fan either but for £99 you cant complain.

You can pick up a mint condition T-Mobile Motorola Defy for £150.

Hard to beat for the money - Hell its hard to beat in the £200 price bracket!

If you can find a Defy for £150, get that. Seems very cheap though.

Still well worth it! :p

Its a decent phone and the excellent durability is a bonus for people who dont want to spend a lot as I doubt they tend to 'baby' their phones as much as some of us might.

Putting it in your pint down the pub is also a nice pub trick too. I nearly bought one just for this.

Where is that £155 from by the way?

i have honestly never seen them go for as low as £150.. hint/link to where can we get one for that much?
