People who ordered iPad2 from the Apple site

Hi folks. For those of you who bought the iPad2 from the Apple store, do you think there is a possibility that we'll get them before the stated delivery date? For me it's saying the 25th of April which seems an awefully long time for a product to be out of stock from its own manufacturer.

they are quoting 4 - 5 weeks for new orders in the US.

It already has, £140 less for a 16gb refurb than the rrp or £100 less for new.

It's pretty obvious that all of Apple's UK stock went straight to the physical stores. I got my order in at 00:29am and it was already saying 2-3 weeks.

I assume that the online orders are coming straight from China, hence the quoted 10 day delivery time.

I'm in Glasgow on Tuesday for a meeting so I'll pop into the Buchanan Street Apple store about lunch time and chance my luck. Meanwhile I'm not canceling my online order.

Cant find it on the Apple site now, refurbs are OoS and everywhere else seems to have completely run their stock down.

Yep its still on the Apple site! 3-4 weeks expected delivery time.

If I order the iPad 2 on Apple's website, do I get charged immediately or do I get charged when it actually shipped?

Credit cards are charged when the item is shipped, debit cards are charged immediately

Yeah I was going to order it at that time and it already said 2-3 weeks. Now it's 3-4 weeks. In few days it'll be 4-5 and 5-6 just like it was with an iPhone 4. Stupid.
