Bought another old BMW.

On a more relevant note : I'm guessing those are the standard wheels? They look a bit odd *edit* ah, the centre caps are missing, explains it.

Not so keen on the colour but I figure you can't be too picky when trying to find one of these.

They are standard alloys, yea - they're the two-piece 'turbine' style which is why they look odd, the entire centre section (which the centrecaps sit in) can be unbolted revealing the 'conventional' alloy behind. The turbine fins allow for additional brake cooling, if needed :) They do make it look like it's got whitewall tyres on it :D

The wheels look like this without the fins:

White's one of my favorite colours so I didn't have to be picky about that :p

It's a 3.6 Confused, so just a mere 315bhp. I don't like the potential issues that arise with the 3.8s.

Now you just need to steal Fox's alloys and paint it techno violet :)

Not a fan of the wheels at all, but looks like a really tidy car! Nice one :)

Aye, I had the throwing stars on my old 540iT - but these have a fair bit of period appeal and, of course, are the factory items for it!

Nice, nice, NICE.

Time to go live out some Ronin fantasies.

Grow long hair, turn into a lady and have a weird thing for Robert De Niro? Not sure about that :p

Spot the continuity errors as the M5 turns, at random, into a 535i or a 535i with M5 alloys and maybe, if you're lucky, an M5 badge :p

That looks well, see they built them to last in those days, look at that interior, solid.

Fanstastic car:cool: Don't change the wheels, they look great.

You're quick to call a car a 'gem' based on a photo of a tatty looking M badge? I guess low expectations never hurt anybody :p...

This is Lashout we're talking about, noob:p

Awsome, I'm slightly envious of your balls of steel with car owning selections :p

indeeds

were it any other member who had bought an e34 M5, they would have had the rationality of their car purchase questioned long ago.

But this is Lashout, he doesn't do rational.

And he restores old Bentleys (amongst other things :D ) in his spare time, so has balls of steel :p

Entirely (I think) hand built as well these, taking about two weeks!

No rattles or squeaks either, and the only things that don't work are the torch in the glovebox (battery's had it) and I think the rear passenger electric window is currently out of action as well, although I've not looked into it. No dealbreaker :D

All the seat electrics, including the electric thigh support, and the sunroof, work without fault though!
