Which Ford Fiesta Zetec? (Last thread hopefully)

Ok I have got it down to 2 cars.

First off we have a dealer. 07 Ford Fiesta Zetec in sexy red 1.25 petrol. 12 months mot, 3 months warranty and no tax. Only 30k miles on the clock. Test driven it and it was lovely.

Secondly is private. Its an 08 Ford Fiesta Zetec Special Edition 1.25 petrol in a dark blue. 6 months tax and 1 month left of manufactures warranty. Only 30k miles on the clock again. I have yet to test drive it but will do tomorrow. I am going to get my mate to check out the mechanics and my step mum to check the HPI etc to make sure it ain't an insurance right off.

I got the dealer from 5450 to 5300 and the private sale is 5500 and yet to work some magic but aiming for around 51/5200.

The second choice although not the best looking from the 2 is younger. Has some awesome extras like built in blue tooth and other things.
 
Jordan, in all seriousness i wouldn't bother with the 1.25 engine, can't you move up to something more spritely?

I for example have an 07 Zetec-S TDCI which has held it's value very well, you can pick up the 1.6 petrol versions for around your budget now, you could also go for a 1.4 i'd say.

Have you considered any other marques? The grande punto is a very good contender if you're looking in this ball park. Not exactly sure of your situation but if it was me i'd be looking at a Mk5 <2002 Fiesta with around 60k on the clock for something like 2 grand.

Also, the Red colour choice is basically the boggo standard paint on the mk6.5 (05-09)
 
Ive got a 1.25 fiesta, nippy enough for me. Bit older though. Happy with it until the insurance gets cheaper.

edit: second one sounds better to me, bluetooth and stuff :)


p.s Don't get either and get an ST! :)
