March in London on the 26th?

I didn't drop a single bit of litter nor did I create any mess by breaking things :) I turned up, paid for my tube ticket, walked about a bit and bought a couple of coffee's and a sandwich and then went home :)

Do drug dealers count as evil capitalist scum?

Hmm, I wonder where you're going with this so I'll bite. Yes I'd class drug dealers as evil capitalist scum - in fact I'd say that the illegal narcotic market is about as free a market as you're ever likely to see

Sounds like Super needs to stop using their products then...

London demo clean-up costs will be 'tens of thousands'

Thanks guys.

No pros, glad we could help.

I reckon they should have had kiosks at the start where everyone could have voluntarily put a few quid into to help with the costs/policing.*

*im not including the damage though as that was a criminal act and those responsible should be directly liable.

Incidently, I was part of a 100 strong litter picking team at hyde park after the rally ended.

Home now, am I going to enjoy my own bed tonight!

You made it up.

Says the christian :D

Surely all the people who for for the council should be happy at having to clean up, after all it keeps them in a job.

Exactly, and how much did we put into the economy through buying food, train tickets, coaches and tube tickets? I'll not complain about the price of a metro ticket again in a while, i'll tell you that! :p

So capitalism is fine and dandy, as long as it suits your cause?

Broken windows fallacy. If you hadn't spent that money on food and transport getting to London, you would have spent it on something else.

How, exactly, does spending money at certain businesses help the owners of the other businesses whose property was trashed in the riot, anyway?

6.60 for mine, just one zone though. It doesn't even work properly, why do the lights go off when you go through a tunnel? Just shoddy workmanship, that's what it is ;)

London air can't be too healthy for you either, i've been ill since i got there.

Black snot!

haha!

I think it was about that, was a shade over £21 for me and my mum and dad. The electronic things were horrific! They opened them up very quickly at the stations we passed through in number.

I jumped over one near Traff Square as I didn't want to wait around (this was when all the mentalists were out up top and the Police weren't taking prisoners) I had my ticket in my mouth and it was packed, the guard and a police man came over as I reach the escalator and the Police tapped me and said why did you push through to the front and hop over, I just said I'd rather do that then stay up top and he laughed and clearly knew there were having problems up top, so just told me to be careful next time.

I however didn't run on the underground, just that initial burst over the barrier, I've seen what London police do to people who run too much down there.
