Always want to experiance a LAN party,.
Do any of you know any where in the north of england thats good?
I just want to go to one thats fun and not very competitive,

he's not saying non competitive he's just saying he wants to be with the type of clans/groups who are there with beers etc having a laugh and messing around rather than a bunch of tediously dull self titled "pro's" sucking all the fun out of everything.

A room of zitty teenagers, smelling of odor and talking complete ****. No thanks, I have a job :D

I'm only joking . . . I bother with a couple of clans online when I play COD, its a good laugh and I can still enjoy the comforts of home.

I know what the OP means - some LAN gaming can be taken far too seriously where I've heard of people throwing monitors and starting fights simply down to losing a match etc!

Most of the ones I've been to have been a good laugh, although team based games (rather than deathmatches) can be very one sided and quite boring - good challenge though!

Where's the fun in non-competitive gaming?

Non-competitive? stick with spider solitaire, unless you're afraid of spiders as well? :p

Quote below is what i ment.

There's one called Epic Lan which is in Staffs (not too far from Alton Towers), ive not been to one of their events personally though.

There's StratLan which is fun, but its not really in the north of england as such :)

i was looking at one thats in barnsley (south yorkshire) but i dont like the idea of leaving my PC at a leisure center while i go back to the travel lodge till the next morning, Thats the only thing thats putting me off.
